IMED Clinic became a part of the Programme for international education in dental implantology
International programme for education in dental implantology, sponsored by Astra Tech Dental company from Sweden, is among the most prestigious educational programs in implant dentistry in the European Union. The program includes theoretical and practical training focused on advanced methods and techniques in implant-prosthetic treatment. It is organized in 25 workshops that take place at some of the most respected dental clinics and centres in Europe and USA - Sahlgren Academy at Göteborg University, University of Paris, University Hospital Copenhagen, University of Iowa, University of Southern California, University of Zurich, Kings College London... The lecturers are mostly heads of clinics, teachers and most prominent European experts in the field of dental implantology - Rasmusson, Hillerup, Becktor, Clark, Cooper, Lidhe, Rojas-Vizcaya, Palmer, Norton, Berglundh...
In September 2010 the IMED Clinic became a part of the program with the advanced two-day theoretical and practical course in implant surgery and prosthetics. It is important to note that this is the only course in the above mentioned program that took place outside the EU and the USA. Twelve participants had applied for the course, all from the EU and all with enviable implant experience.
Dr. Marko Krmpotić and guest lecturer Dr. Damir Jelušić along with the entire team of the clinic presented their knowledge and experience in the latest techniques in dental implant therapy. Being a part of this program is a great honour for the clinic and the lecturers and it shows that domestic intellect and knowledge can be an export product.
