Encouraged by new trends and the development of new technologies, we have expanded our offer of implant-prosthetic treatments with a new product that we have named ‘A new smile - right now!’ This is the most advanced form of treating complete edentulous. On the basis of CT findings a 3D reconstruction of the jaw is made. In the 3D model with a computer-aided method (Simplant software), the surgical and prosthetic part of the treatment is planned. This enables perfectly precise planning of implantation and compatible prosthetic work. After presenting the treatment plan to the patient, surgical templates (guides) for the implantation are ordered in from Belgium. Surgical procedure is performed without the classic incision and sutures. Using a template the implants are inserted in the bone through an opening in the mucosal tissue. This greatly reduces the postoperative period and reduces postoperative discomfort. The surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesia. Immediately after the procedure temporary bridge on implants is being made. The procedure of making the bridge takes 8 hours which the patient spends in the apartment at the clinic. The same day the patients undergo the surgery they receive a fixed temporary bridge (very good esthetics and functionality) and leave the clinic with a new smile - now! The definitive prosthetic sanation will be performed 3 months after the implantation, after the osseointegration has been completed. The advantages of this method are a shorter surgery intervention time, greater precision of the procedure, fewer postoperative discomforts, a fixed provisional bridge - better functionality, aesthetics and comfort compared to a temporary prosthesis. The disadvantages are a long preparation period for the procedure, CT radiation and higher costs.
